It was a Monday, 3 years ago, some may remember it as the most devastating day in the history of our country. I remember it in a much different, happier way.
We went to the hospital on Sunday night, I was having contractions and they had been steady all day. I was very ready to have a baby and this was the 3rd time I had been to the hospital during my pregnancy. The 1st was at 29 weeks, I was having some pain and they had to give me the meds to stop the contractions and I had to be on rest for a week. The 2nd was a week before the 29th, I thought I was in labor....I wasn't and went home, sadly. So this rainy, stormy night I was ready to have a baby. The nurse in triage told me that my contractions were steady and I was dilating, "you aren't leaving without a baby" was what she told me! We called everyone and told my family to get a plane first thing Monday morning and head to Nashville, we were having a baby! They moved me to a delivery room and got me all hooked up, I was only a 3 and still having mild contractions. A couple of hours later they checked me, nothing, no progression and contractions were not steady anymore. The doc on call said I could go home or wait until the morning when my doc came in and see what she said, I opted to wait! So at 5am they induced me!! It went very fast and the epidural was my best friend. A few hours later, I was ready, I pushed a few times and out she came! She was beautiful and perfect, with big hands! She weighed in at 8'7 and 21 in, not bad for ten days early!!

We took a little while by ourselves and when we were ready for everyone to come in my mom and Andrea had just arrived. Perfect timing! It is crazy how I remember these details like it was yesterday, I hope I always do!
